Description:
The Heard was formed in 2002 when four singer-songwriters joined forces to produce a folk-rock-country-bluegrass-jazz group with four-part harmonies and a blend of electric and acoustic instruments. Think Kate Wolfe meets Crosby Stills and Nash. The Heard writes songs that can carry you away, put a smile on your face and sometimes even make you cry. Band members are Mary Beth Whitaker, long-time Boise Celtic chanteuses and former member of the Big Eddy, Josh Bogle a transplant from eastern Oregon with a history of rock, jazz, classical and country, Mark Utting a recent escapee from the rains of coastal Washington after playing solo and in bands from Canada to Mexico, and Daniel Reid, a former Garlic-Capital-of-the-World resident with experience in rock, devotional and other musical genres.
