Description:
An active member of the local music scene for six years, Matt recently turned his attention away from his old band, Danger Baby, which he finally let lay to rest. In its place emerged a rock opera, composed and written entirely by Matt. He recruited the help of sixteen other musicians to construct "The Erinys," a 15-track, 50-minute opus. Stemming from contradictions he saw in modern America, this album asks the question, "when is violence justified?" Due to its nature, "The Erinys" cannot simply pick up and play at a bar as easily as a four-piece band. Instead, this rock opera made its debut at the Morrison Center for the Performing Arts, where extra chairs were added to three sold-out shows in the course of its two-day run.

Matt Vander Boegh holds a Master of Arts in Communication, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, both from Boise State University.
