Description:
We are a group of five members. We've all been in other bands before. Davin Pena is the former guitarist for bands Skapegote, Suisilent, Situated Among Hate and Halo Envy. Kort Haws comes from a MuDvAyNe influenced funk-metal project. Daniel Bale is also from former bands Skapegote and Suisilent. Brett Peterson has been and is from many jazz fusion bands. We all just got together one day and decided to metal it out for the entire world the hear. We're just five guys with a lot on our minds. We've been jamming since September of 2004; so we're just getting started. There's no gimmick in this band. We just write and play. There just isn't enough time to play dress up. To best describe our sound one would have to take the band apart piece by piece and fully analyze each individual member. Guitarists Kort Haws and Davin Pena have grown up listening to and being influenced by guitarists such as Kirk Hammett, Dimebag Darrell and Kurt Cobain. Bassist Orry Rogers grew up listening to Cliff Burton, Jason Newsted and Robert Trujillo. Brett Peterson is strongly influenced by Mike Portnoy, drummer of Dream Theater. Daniel Bale's influences range from Phil Anselmo to Axl Rose. With such a wide variety of influences it's hard to pinpoint an exact sound for Clipped Wing Divinity. We Range from Rock and Roll to some really hard hitting Metal. Our musical intentions as a band are to bring back thrash into metal and to combine other musical influences into it as well.
